By default, windows will disable some features that reduces the sound quality. To improve the sound quality, just do the following steps:
For windows 7 users:
click start, open control panel. In control panel, click Hardware and Sound(directly click sound in Large icons view).
In the Playback tab, double click on Speakers
And then select Enhancements tab
Now, tick Bass Boost, Virtual Surround and Loudness Equalization
And then apply.
You can observe that your volume is better than before.
