Windows 8 comes with new GUI when compared to windows 7. Some of them are
1. When the PC starts, usually we see the desktop. But in windows 8 we see something like this:
Here it shows the desktop is an app in the admin system.
2. The start button is completely changed and it is replaced by the above i.e. when you press start button, it navigates to the above pic.
3. When you navigate your mouse cursor to the start button, it shows like this:
4. In windows 8, the boot time i.e. shutdown and start up time is reduced when compared to windows 7.
5. The copy-cut-paste speed is indicated by a graph as shown:
In this, the copying process can be paused/stopped.
